Azerbaijan detains Karabakh Armenians on fabricated charges![]() September 25, 2023 - 13:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan has detained Nagorno-Karabakh residents it accuses of allegedly planting landmines in territories controlled by Azerbaijan, which Baku claims has left two civilians and four police officers killed, the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan reports. On September 19, Azerbaijan used the false accusations to launch a military offensive against Nagorno-Karabakh, which left hundreds of Armenians killed and thousands of others displaced. On September 20, the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh agreed to a ceasefire on Azerbaijan’s terms, including the dissolution of the Defense Army. So 3000 displaced residents have already fled Nagorno-Karabakh and reached Armenia. ![]() ![]() The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington.
