Some 13,550 displaced Karabakh residents arrive in Armenia![]() September 26, 2023 - 10:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - As of 08:00 on September 26, as many as 13,550 forcibly displaced people have arrived in Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh, the Armenian goverment reports. The first several hundred refugees from war-torn Nagorno-Karabakh crossed into Armenian territory on September 24, as a forced evacuation begins that could lead to a mass exodus of ethnic Armenians from their historic homeland. On September 19, Azerbaijan launched a full-scale offensive against Nagorno-Karabakh, killings and injuring hundreds, including civilians. On September 20, the authorities ov Nagorno-Karabakh agreed to a ceasefire on Azerbaijan’s terms, including the dissolution of the Defense Army. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
