Armenian-Turkish relations normalization could benefit AzerbaijanApril 30, 2009 - 02:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkish President Abdullah Gul said Wednesday that a possible accord to normalize ties between Turkey and Armenia would benefit Azerbaijan, The Jerusalem Post reports. Speaking in Prague after meeting Czech President Vaclav Klaus, Gul added that reconciliation would stabilize the entire Caucasus region. Azerbaijan is disturbed by Turkey's and Armenia's recent efforts toward reconciliation, which could lead to the reopening of their joint border. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
