Armenia’s 1st domestic satellite to launch Dec. 1November 29, 2023 - 12:29 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The first domestic satellite "Hayasat-1" produced entirely in Armenia will be launched into space on December 1, reports Bazoomq Space Research Lab, which built the satellite with the Center for Scientific Innovation and Education. “By providing opportunities for telecommunications, navigation, and remote sensing of the earth, space technologies stimulate economic growth,” Bazoomq said on Tuesday, November 28. “Space exploration contributes to the growth of education and science by promoting advances in the Earth sciences, physics, astrophysics, materials science, and space engineering. The satellite was supposed to be launched on November 29 but SpaceX said a Falcon 9 launch will happen no earlier than December 1 from California.
