Hollywood Reporter names “Armat” as an Oscar favorite

PanARMENIAN.Net - Swiss-Armenian filmmaker Élodie Dermange’s animated short film “Armat” has made it to The Hollywood Reporter’s list of 15 of this year’s contenders that could gun for the big prize at the Oscars.

The film delves into Dermange’s family’s Armenian origins and reckons with generational trauma.

The short has already been screened at several festivals.
