Report: Armenia’s army ranked 102, Azerbaijan’s ahead at 59![]() January 11, 2024 - 17:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is ranked 102 and Azerbaijan is ranked 59 in the Global Firepower’s 2024 Military Strength Ranking, a report ranking 145 nations of the world based on current available firepower. Both countries were last reviewed on January 5, the report said. The ranking utilizes over 60 individual factors to determine a given nation's PowerIndex ('PwrIndx') score with categories ranging from quantity of military units and financial standing to logistical capabilities and geography. According to data, Armenia holds a PwrIndx score of 2.0583 (a score of 0.0000 is considered 'perfect'), while Azerbaijan’s score is 0.9934. Neighboring Georgia, meanwhile, is ranked 84 with a score of 1:6969. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
