Russia will not acknowledge NKR independenceMay 7, 2009 - 20:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Official Moscow does not plan to recognize NKR as independent region, MG OSCE Co-Chair Yuri Merzlyakov reported upon completion of Prague meeting between Armenian and Azeri presidents. Presidents of Mediator states will participate in the next round of negotiations on peaceful settlement of NKR conflict, Novosti Azerbaijan reported.Previous negotiations between the presidents were held on Jan. 28 in Zurich. Next negotiations between Armenian and Azeri Presidents are scheduled for the beginning of July in St. Petersburg. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
