Director of the Ararat gold-mining company (AGRC) belonging to the FDM Vardan Vardanian has stated that in his interview with «Arminfo» agency. Processing of the 8 095 536 ton scrap gold from the Ararat Factory tailing dump has resulted in 4 725 kg equivalent gold. Till April 2002, in Meghradzor gold field, 100279 tons of gold ore was processed and 400-kg equivalent gold was gotten and in Sotski field 143 kg of gold was gotten from 35445 processed ore. According to Vardanian, in the nearest 2-4 years, «FDM» intends to invest $8 mln-$10 mln in the Ararat gold-mining company. In his words, the investments will be used for exploration works, reconstruction and acquisition of equipment for the Sotski field.
