Renaissance International Festival completed in ArmeniaMay 12, 2009 - 18:35 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On May 6-11 Gyumri hosted Renaissance International Festival. Musicians from Russia, Turkmenistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Switzerland, Georgia, different regions of Armenia and NKR participated in the contest.The festival featured over 740 musicians performing on piano, string and wind instruments, singling folk and classic songs. The following winners were announced at the closing ceremony of May 12: Marika Gelashvili (piano), Theona Kazishvili (string instruments), Mane Harutyunyan (oboe), Emmanuelle Hovhannesyan (duduk), Tigran Melikyan (classic vocal) and Angela Mirakyan (folk song).
