Armenia participates in V MILEX International Arms ExhibitionMay 19, 2009 - 17:59 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - MILEX-2009 International Arms and Military Machinery Conference opened in Minsk on May 19. Armenian delegation is also participating in the exhibition, Defense Ministry Spokesman Seyran Shahsuvaryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent.Exhibition displays 145 exponents from 8 countries, including Armenia, Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. There is a special stand for representatives from all CSTO member states. The exhibition was organized on a square with a total area of 6 thousand square metres. Opening Milex-2009, Belarus PM Sergey Sidorsky noted that the "exhibition may be considered a special visiting card aimed at raising public awareness of defense armory". Exhibited arms, military and special armory were produced based on information and telecommunication technologies, the premier noted. As noted by CSTO State Secretary Nikolay Birduzha, "Member states' cooperation in the sphere of military-technical cooperation can be objectively characterized as close partnership corresponding to their interests," Belarus news reports.
