U.S. names Armenia Justice Minister as 2024 Anti-Corruption Champion

PanARMENIAN.Net - The United States Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs has recognized Armenian Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan as 2024 Anti-Corruption Champion for her work to establish asset forfeiture as a crucial tool in the fight against corruption.

“Congratulations to Srbuhi Galyan, one of Department of State’s 2024 Anti-Corruption Champions!” the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan said in a short statement on Tuesday, December 10.

“The U.S. Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) recognizes Srbuhi Galyan as an Anti-Corruption Champion for her work to establish asset forfeiture as a crucial tool in the fight against corruption.”

In early November, The President of Armenia appointed Galyan as the country’s new Minister of Justice. Before that, Galyan served as Deputy Prosecutor General overseeing matters related to the confiscation of illegally obtained property.
