France vows to continue air defense support to Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - France continues to support Armenia militarily, including in the air defense area, France’s Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu has said.

Lecornu on Tuesday, December 18 hosted Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan who traveled to Paris for the fourth times as Minister.

“We continue the work to support Armenia in its defense effort: in terms of consultations, training as well as equipment, particularly in the area of ​​air defense,” Lecornu said in post on X.

Earlier in December, Yerevan hosted the signing of a defense cooperation programme between Armenia and France for 2025. According to Armenia’s Ministry of Defense, the program includes “dozens of activities across nearly all areas of the armed forces’ operations.”
