PanARMENIAN.Net - The city of Glendale, California, is recovering from a state of emergency caused by devastating wildfires, according to a video statement by Mayor Elen Asatryan.

She confirmed that the emergency level in Glendale has been downgraded from Level 2 to Level 3.

“Your resilience and our teams’ dedicated efforts have reduced the risk to Level 3… The strength, unity, and support of our residents, businesses, and city staff have been incredible. Let us continue rebuilding, supporting one another, and strengthening the bonds that make Glendale special. We are an extraordinary community, and together, we can overcome anything,” Asatryan said.

Wildfires in California have claimed 24 lives. An Armenian school in Pasadena was destroyed, and many lost their homes.
