Lavrov: trilateral agreements still relevant in South Caucasus

PanARMENIAN.Net - During negotiations with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reaffirmed Russia’s readiness to assist in the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan across all areas.

He emphasized that the trilateral agreements remain relevant given the situation in the South Caucasus, as reported by TASS.

"We are ready to provide the necessary support for normalizing Armenia-Azerbaijan relations in all directions of the trilateral agreements reached by the leaders of the three countries between 2020 and 2022.

We believe these agreements are still timely, considering the current regional situation. Regional security is a significant priority in our actions regarding the South Caucasus," the minister underlined.

Negotiations between the foreign ministers of Russia and Armenia are taking place in Moscow. The sides are discussing a broad range of bilateral relations, cooperation within the EAEU and other Eurasian integration frameworks, as well as pressing issues on the international agenda.
