UK advises citizens to avoid traveling near Armenia-Azerbaijan border![]() January 22, 2025 - 13:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The UK government has advised its citizens to avoid traveling near the Armenia-Azerbaijan border due to ongoing tensions between the two countries. According to an official statement, “The border between Armenia and Azerbaijan remains closed. Avoid travel within 5 kilometers of the eastern border due to the conflict between the two countries.” It was also noted that consular support in these areas is severely limited. Separately, travelers are advised to avoid using the Noyemberyan-Ijevan M16/H26 road due to heightened tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The statement further mentions that the Armenia-Turkey border remains closed, although flights between Yerevan and Istanbul are operational. ![]() ![]() The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington.
