Parliament adopts changes to citizenship fees

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s National Assembly approved a package of amendments to the Law on Citizenship of the Republic of Armenia and the Law on State Duties.

Under the changes, the fee for granting citizenship is set at AMD 50,000 , while the fee for renouncing citizenship will be AMD 150,000 .

The government also plans to digitize services related to acquiring or terminating citizenship. This decision was adopted on October 17, 2024.

Applicants will be able to submit documents electronically in advance, allowing the competent authority to verify their completeness and confirm the absence of Armenian citizenship before scheduling an appointment to submit the documents in person at an authorized body or a diplomatic mission abroad.
