The ministry stated that they have analyzed wheat prices in various countries, along with transportation logistics and routes, according to Factor.am . “For this purpose, we have studied the prices of these products by country, logistics costs, and routes,” the ministry noted, without specifying any particular countries. During a joint session of parliamentary standing committees, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan shared that Armenia is negotiating alternative wheat import options with several countries. “We are considering alternative import sources and discussing them with multiple countries. This is not directed against any nation. For example, if 99% of our wheat had been imported from Romania, I would still be negotiating with Russia for wheat imports.
