  Vardan Kostanyan leaves trade attaché post in Iran January 30, 2025 - 18:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has signed a decree dismissing Vardan Kostanyan from his position as Armenia’s trade attaché in Iran. "Based on Article 10, Clause 9 of the Law on Diplomatic Service and Clause 10 of the Appendix to Government Decision No. 1935-N dated December 23, 2004, Vardan Kostanyan is relieved of his duties as the Republic of Armenia’s trade attaché in the Islamic Republic of Iran," the decree states. In a separate decision, the prime minister has appointed Kostanyan as deputy minister of territorial administration and infrastructure. "Pursuant to Article 9, Clause 1 of the Law on Public Service, Vardan Kostanyan is appointed deputy minister of territorial administration and infrastructure," the document reads. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
