Responding to a journalist's question, he emphasized that no one forced him to sign the document. He underlined that it was a necessary step to avoid heavy losses. "No one held a gun to my head, and no one could have. If I hadn’t signed that document, 26,000 of our soldiers would have been surrounded," the Prime Minister said. Pashinyan added that the fate of the servicemen was the decisive factor in his decision. "If the issue were about my own life, I have never taken any action under threat, nor would I ever do so. The matter was about 26,000 soldiers being encircled. That was my concern," he stated. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
