No disruptions in Yerevan’s public transport after fare increase![]() February 1, 2025 - 14:24 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Although some activists urged citizens to boycott the fare hike and pay only 100 drams instead, as well as stage protests, public transport in Yerevan continues to operate normally, Radar.am reports. As of February 1, a new fare of 150 drams per ride is in effect for public transport, a rate that will remain unchanged throughout 2025. Most citizens continue to pay 150 drams and use public transport as usual. *Former Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan has called for a boycott of what he describes as an unjustified fare increase. The "Mother Armenia" faction of the Yerevan City Council and MP Garnik Danielyan from the "Armenia" faction have joined the boycott. The Yerevan City Council approved the fare increase with 33 votes in favor.
