Аrmenian parliament plans Saudi Arabia friendship group![]() February 3, 2025 - 18:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian Parliament is planning to establish an Armenia-Saudi Arabia Friendship Group. The Standing Committee on Foreign Relations has approved the proposal and will submit it to the parliamentary council for consideration. Committee chair Sargis Khandanyan recalled that Armenia and Saudi Arabia established diplomatic relations in November 2023. The initiative aims to enhance diplomatic and interparliamentary ties between the two nations. It was also noted that in the Saudi Arabian Consultative Council (Shura Council), a Saudi Arabia-Armenia Friendship Group has already been formed. In 2024, Armenia and Saudi Arabia appointed non-resident ambassadors to each other’s countries. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
