Armenia increases IMF quota by 50%![]() February 6, 2025 - 16:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian government has approved a decision titled "On behalf of the Republic of Armenia, consenting to the increase of Armenia's quota based on the 16th General Review of Quotas adopted by the Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund." Currently, Armenia's quota in the IMF stands at 128.8 million Special Drawing Rights (SDR), representing 0.03% of the total IMF quota, granting Armenia 0.05% of the voting power in the IMF Board of Governors. Following the 16th review, it is proposed to increase Armenia's quota by 50% to 193.2 million SDRs. This adjustment ensures the fulfillment of obligations undertaken under the signed agreement. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”.
