Pashinyan: 'Crossroads of Peace' open proposal to neighbors

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, speaking in Washington at the International Religious Freedom Summit, emphasized that the 'Crossroads of Peace' project is an open proposal to regional countries.

He further noted that the initiative also aims to facilitate interpersonal connections.

"We have launched a program called 'Crossroads of Peace.' Primarily, it is about opening regional transportation links, but it is not only about infrastructure. From the perspective of religious tolerance, it is also about human interaction. When transport links are open, people gain opportunities to communicate, which is essential for building lasting and stable peace.

This is an open proposal to our regional partners, and we are actively working with each of them to bring this project to life."

During a lecture at Georgetown University, Pashinyan reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to advancing the peace agenda.

The government has developed and presented the 'Crossroads of Peace' project, focusing on the development of communications between Armenia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Iran. This includes restoring, constructing, and operating roads, railways, pipelines, cables, and power lines. All infrastructure—whether roads, railways, air routes, pipelines, or power grids—will function under the sovereignty and jurisdiction of the countries they traverse.
