ZCMC loses 400 million drams daily due to strike

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC) has suffered daily losses of around 400 million drams due to actions carried out for nearly a week by a group of employees and individuals unrelated to the company. Meanwhile, the state has incurred losses of over 100 million drams per day in tax revenue, according to Armenpress.

"Thousands of company employees have been affected. We expect that those who violated the law will be held accountable," the company stated.

ZCMC has submitted crime reports to law enforcement agencies regarding the actions of both its employees and unrelated individuals.

A group of ZCMC employees has been on strike for nearly a week, demanding wage increases and improved working conditions. ZCMC and its trade union issued a joint statement declaring the strike illegal and the demands unrealistic. The company also claimed that individuals unrelated to ZCMC were participating in the protests.
