Nora Bayrakdarian named Lebanon’s minister of sports and youth

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nora Bayrakdarian has been appointed as Lebanon’s Minister of Sports and Youth.

Bayrakdarian teaches at Lebanese University and Lebanese American University. In 2004, she earned a PhD from Sorbonne University, and in 2017, she was granted a professorship at Lebanese University, Armenpress reports, citing Azdak daily.

Bayrakdarian is a member of the International Doctoral Committee at Lebanese University and oversees the university’s Political Science Committee.

She is also a member of the Central Executive Council of the Catholicosate of Cilicia, having represented it on various international platforms, including the World Council of Churches. Recently, she was elected co-chair of the International Affairs Committee of the World Council of Churches.
