Armenian defense minister meets India’s top military official![]() February 11, 2025 - 14:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, who is on a working visit to India, held a brief conversation with India’s Chief of Defense Staff Anil Chauhan. The meeting took place during the defense ministers' conclave held as part of the Aero India exhibition, according to the Armenian Ministry of Defense. On February 11, Papikyan participated in the defense ministers' gathering themed "Building resilience through international defense and global engagement", where he also delivered a speech. Welcoming the participants and expressing gratitude to the Indian side for their warm hospitality, Papikyan stated that the joint efforts of Armenia and India are aimed not only at strengthening their defense capabilities but also at ensuring international and regional security, peace, and stability. The Armenian defense minister presented Armenia’s stance on regional security issues, as well as the Armenian government's "Crossroads of Peace" initiative. Papikyan also toured the exhibition, familiarizing himself with the displayed military technology and innovations. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
