Ambassador briefs Congressman Jeff Hurd on regional situation

PanARMENIAN.Net - On February 11, Armenia’s Ambassador to the U.S., Lilit Makunts, met with Congressman Jeff Hurd (Republican, Colorado) to discuss the regional situation, the Armenian Embassy in the U.S. reported.

During the meeting, Ambassador Makunts spoke about Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to the U.S., provided an overview of the current regional developments, and discussed the ongoing peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. She also emphasized the dynamic growth of Armenia-U.S. relations.

Additionally, the meeting included discussions about the Armenian community in Colorado.

On January 14, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken signed a strategic partnership document in Washington, strengthening bilateral cooperation. Blinken stated during the signing ceremony that a U.S. team specializing in customs and border security would travel to Armenia in the coming weeks to assist in enhancing border security capabilities.
