Four foreigners arrested in Yerevan for $50,000 robbery

PanARMENIAN.Net - Four foreign nationals were arrested in Yerevan on suspicion of committing an armed robbery and stealing $50,000. Officers from the Criminal Police identified and presented them to the investigative authorities, according to Narek Sargsyan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Factor.am reports.

According to him, part of the stolen money has been recovered.

On February 12 at 6:00 PM, the Ministry of Internal Affairs received an emergency call reporting that a 61-year-old man had suffered a head injury on Raffi Street.

"Preliminary information suggests an armed robbery took place. Police found bloodstains and gas pistol cartridges at the scene," said Narek Sargsyan, the ministry’s spokesperson.
