Kremlin hints at possible timing for Putin-Trump talks

PanARMENIAN.Net - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump could take place by the end of February or at a later date.

"Western media write a lot, our media write a lot... It may happen, or it may not," Peskov said when asked whether the talks would take place by the end of the month, according to RIA Novosti.

High-level Russian-American negotiations concluded in Riyadh on Tuesday. The Russian delegation included Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, and Russian Direct Investment Fund head Kirill Dmitriev. Representing the U.S. were National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy for the Middle East Steven Witkoff.

According to Ushakov, one of the key topics of discussion was initiating talks on Ukraine. Both Russian and American delegations described the meeting's outcome as positive, agreeing to work together on resolving issues and prepare for future meetings.
