Armenian government approves amendments to transport law

PanARMENIAN.Net - The government has approved the legislative initiative regarding the draft law "On Amendments to the Law on Transport."

The decision aims to grant the government the authority to establish support programs for the development of passenger and freight transport in the automotive, railway, water, and air transport sectors. This includes acquiring new transport vehicles and expanding operational capacities.

With this decision, the government's powers will be expanded to stimulate the introduction of new transport vehicles and improve sectoral performance using various financial support mechanisms.

The adoption of this law will enable the government to implement diverse support programs for transport service providers and carriers. These programs will promote fleet renewal, enhance service quality, contribute to transport system development, and improve mobility for the country's population.
