Romanian ambassador joins EU observers' patrol

PanARMENIAN.Net - Romania’s Ambassador to Armenia, Cornel Ionescu, joined the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) patrol in the area of Khachik village in the Vayots Dzor province. The EU mission in Armenia shared the update on X.

"It was an honor to host Romanian Ambassador Cornel Ionescu in Armenia. He familiarized himself with the mission’s activities, assessed the local situation, and participated in the patrol in Khachik," the post read.

Romania is the second-largest contributor to the EU monitoring mission in terms of observer numbers.

The EU civilian mission in Armenia has been extended for two years, until February 2027.
