Armenia receives Azerbaijan's response on peace treaty

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia has received Azerbaijan's response concerning the peace treaty, said the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ani Badalyan.

However, proposals on other issues, such as the unblocking of communication routes and mechanisms for mutual arms control and verification, remain unanswered, Lurer reported.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during a press conference on January 31 that Armenia had made clear proposals to Azerbaijan regarding the unblocking of regional communication routes and was awaiting a response. According to him, an affordable and realistic option is the route through the Meghri railway, connecting Azerbaijan to Nakhijevan and vice versa. He also suggested a railway connection from Yeraskh through Nakhijevan's territory to Meghri and back.
