Tandilyan: international community must increase pressure on Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Mane Tandilyan, chair of the Country to Live party, welcomed the statement by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, who called for the immediate release of detained Armenians in Azerbaijan.

"The international community must increase its pressure on Azerbaijan, realizing that silence only enables Baku’s atrocities. The Armenian people are responsible for their compatriots," the statement reads.

Country to Live co-founder Mane Tandilyan, along with Vardan Avagyan and Varazdat Alaverdyan, has launched a hunger strike in Yerevan’s Liberty Square in support of Armenian detainees in Baku. They also hope that Vardanyan will end his hunger strike in the Azerbaijani prison.
