NA Deputy Speaker proposes raising tobacco sales age to 21

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Hakob Arshakyan has proposed raising the legal age for purchasing tobacco to 21. He made this statement in a short video posted on his Facebook page.

"I would like to hear your opinion on my proposal to increase the tobacco sales age from 18 to 21.

Banning tobacco use in the Armenian army, universities, and educational institutions is key to ensuring the mental and physical well-being of young people and society as a whole.

Please share your thoughts on this matter, as they will influence further discussions on the issue," the post reads.
