Netherlands' FM tours Armenia-Azerbaijan border![]() March 13, 2025 - 14:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Foreign Minister of the Netherlands, Kaspar Veldkamp, along with members of his delegation and escorted by the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMA), visited the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. The visit was announced on the EUMA's X. "It was an honor to host Foreign Minister Kaspar Veldkamp, the Netherlands' Ambassador to Armenia Marieke Monroy-Winter, and the visiting delegation. EUMA head Markus Ritter provided an overview of the mission's work and the current situation in the border zone during a patrol," the statement read. Kaspar Veldkamp also addressed the visit in his own X post. "I was pleased to personally meet the Dutch observers serving in the mission. Their contribution to strengthening stability and security in the region is invaluable, also fostering trust within local communities," he wrote. He further emphasized that the Netherlands fully supports the mission's activities. Kaspar Veldkamp arrived in Armenia on March 12. During his visit, he met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and attended the official opening of the Netherlands' embassy in Armenia. A strategic partnership declaration between Armenia and the Netherlands was signed during the visit. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
