Armenia deepens ties with France in 2024![]() March 14, 2025 - 18:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia actively deepened and expanded its relations with France in 2024. Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan reported this during the parliamentary foreign relations committee session, presenting the government's program implementation and outcomes for 2024. In the context of cooperation with the EU, Mirzoyan particularly emphasized the partnership with France, as reported by Armenpress. "We have continued to deepen and expand our relations with France very dynamically throughout 2024," the minister stated. He noted that over the past year, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made three official visits to France, and three additional meetings were held in multilateral formats. Additionally, the foreign ministers of Armenia and France met three times, and the defense ministers of both countries conducted reciprocal visits. Regarding future cooperation with France, Mirzoyan mentioned: "We are working to complement our already existing and traditionally very warm relations with very concrete programs and cooperation directions. Some are already visible; others, I hope, will become apparent in the near future." French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed the conclusion of negotiations on agreeing upon the text of the Peace Agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
