Turkish reporters commend Armenia's hospitality

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkish journalists have expressed satisfaction with the warm reception by the Armenian authorities.

According to Lucien Kopar, a columnist for Agos, some group members had previously visited Armenia but still felt apprehensive about the trip.

"When we were coming, we were apprehensive, wondering how it would go. But upon arrival, we realized everything was proceeding normally. We were able to ask our questions and receive answers. The Republic of Armenia received us very well," he shared.

Kopar noted that one of the most memorable and emotional moments of the visit was going to the Margara border crossing.

"I was very moved in Margara because it had been closed for 30 years, and we hadn't had the opportunity to pass through there. As a citizen of Turkey, it was very emotional for me. On the way back, we discussed with colleagues, and they also said that the border must definitely open for peace," Kopar mentioned.

The group members had meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, conversing with the minister and deputy minister, and also held discussions with Ruben Rubinyan, the special representative for the normalization process of Armenian-Turkish relations.
