Armenia yet to decide on Vera Aghasyan's remains transfer

PanARMENIAN.Net - The National Security Service (NSS) has announced that the issue of transferring the body of Vera Aghasyan, a resident of the Republic of Artsakh, to Armenia remains under discussion, with no final decision yet made.

"The issue of transferring Vera Aghasyan's body to the Republic of Armenia is currently under discussion," the NSS stated, acoording to Sputnik Armenia.

Earlier, Sharafet Hasanov, Deputy Head of Azerbaijan's State Security Service, claimed that Armenia has not retrieved Aghasyan's body from Stepanakert for five months.

Seventy-year-old Aghasyan passed away in October 2024. She was among the few Armenians who remained in Artsakh following Azerbaijani aggression and ethnic cleansing.
