UN report: Turkey exports nearly 1,000 armored vehicles in two years![]() March 18, 2025 - 12:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - According to the United Nations Register of Conventional Arms (UNROCA) report, Turkey has supplied international buyers with more than 1,000 armored vehicles over the past two years. The document states that in 2023, 11 countries received 501 combat armored vehicles, while 549 units were exported in 2022. Overall, the volume of deliveries decreased by 8% compared to the previous year, Factor.am reports. In 2023, Turkey's armored vehicle exports went to the United Arab Emirates (180 vehicles), Kazakhstan (68), Saudi Arabia (66), Tunisia (42), Côte d'Ivoire (36), Ecuador (35), Chad (30), Morocco (20), Bangladesh (11), Azerbaijan (10), and Montenegro (3). In 2022, Turkey supplied 549 armored vehicles to 14 countries, marking a 63% increase compared to 2021. However, exports declined to 501 units in 2023. Although the report does not specify the exact models exported, Turkey typically does not disclose product details to UNROCA. However, past defense agreements indicate that some countries, including Azerbaijan, operate Turkish-made COBRA II armored vehicles. Kazakhstan has shown interest in COBRA II, TULPAR, and ARMA models, with media reports suggesting a possible future order of up to 800 vehicles. The report emphasizes that the figures presented by the UN only account for officially declared deliveries. Actual numbers could be higher, considering vehicles supplied under separate contracts or military aid agreements. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
