Baku provides no evidence of ceasefire violation by Armenia![]() March 18, 2025 - 13:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian Ministry of Defense has denied the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry’s claims that Armenian units allegedly opened fire on Azerbaijani positions along the eastern and southeastern sections of the border between 22:15 on March 17 and 00:20 on March 18. According to the ministry, Azerbaijan has not provided any factual evidence or justification of alleged ceasefire violations by Armenian forces. It is noted that Armenia’s Prime Minister’s Office had previously proposed the creation of a joint investigative mechanism to examine ceasefire violations and related reports. However, Azerbaijan has yet to respond to this initiative. The Defense Ministry reiterates that Armenia remains open to reviewing any evidence Azerbaijan may provide if such materials are presented. Since March 16, Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry has repeatedly spread similar misinformation, which has been refuted not only by Armenia’s Defense Ministry but also by the EU monitoring mission. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
