Bagrat Srbazan slams 'peace agreement' as continuation of previous disasters

PanARMENIAN.Net - During the "We don't trust Pashinyan" protest organized by young activists on the evening of March 18, Bagrat Srbazan spoke with journalists, stating that issues ranging from the surrender of Artsakh to daily social problems have led the youth to organize this action.

"If, God forbid, war breaks out, will these people take the lead? We have already witnessed one disaster, and after their leadership, they did not take responsibility, not bearing any share of the blame," he said, as reported by Panorama.am .

He also addressed the peace agreement, emphasizing that it is a continuation of previous tragedies.

"Why don't they publish the false 'peace' provisions? After all, they are agreed upon, and there is no confidentiality. They should publish them so people can read and see what it's about. Why should we trust? We don't even know what kind of war is planned in the near future," said the Srbazan.

The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it has accepted the Azerbaijani side's proposals regarding the two previously unagreed articles and that the peace agreement is ready for signing. It is noted that Armenia is ready to start consultations on the timing and venue of the signing. Baku has put forward new preconditions and stated that it is still early to talk about meeting dates.

The draft peace agreement consists of 17 points, of which 15 were previously agreed upon. One of the unagreed points was the mutual renunciation of international claims against each other, and the other was the non-deployment of representatives of other countries on the borders of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
