Together movement proposes creating aid fund for displaced Artsakh Armenians![]() March 22, 2025 - 12:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A new initiative by the “Together” socio-political movement proposes creating a social protection foundation to support displaced residents of Artsakh. Presented by former Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan at a March 21 rally in Yerevan’s Freedom Square, the plan aims to provide centralized management of aid for displaced citizens. According to Sputnik Armenia, all incoming resources to the foundation would be allocated to two primary areas: food security and housing provision. Bagratyan also proposed that employees of former state institutions of Nagorno-Karabakh be paid 50% of their salaries as of October 1, 2023. He further suggested they receive family allowances and access to interest-free mortgage loans to purchase homes. The proposal includes continued pension payments for all former pensioners from Artsakh. Additionally, each displaced individual would receive AMD 55,000 monthly for food needs. Families aiming to build new homes would be eligible for long-term, interest-free loans. According to Armenia’s Migration and Citizenship Service under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 115,365 people were forcibly displaced from Artsakh in September 2023. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
