Ruben Vardanyan's wife thanks for support in video message

PanARMENIAN.Net - Veronika Zonabend, the wife of former Artsakh State Minister and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan, who is being held in Baku under politically motivated charges, has expressed her gratitude in a short video message to all those who have supported their family during this difficult time.

"Your support gives us strength to keep believing that everything will be okay and that we will overcome the challenges we face now. Fortunately, he has ended his hunger strike and we are moving forward," Zonabend said.

She also shared an episode from Ruben Vardanyan’s life. At one point, he miraculously survived a fall from a height, which left him with a fear of heights. Later, when his company Troika Dialog was facing a serious crisis, he took out a large loan to save the business. To inspire his team, he promised to skydive if they succeeded—facing his fear head-on. Against the odds, the company overcame the crisis, and Vardanyan fulfilled his promise.

U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz stated that during his conversation with Azerbaijani counterpart Hikmet Hajiyev, he stressed the need to release the detainees and finalize a peace treaty with Armenia.

Ruben Vardanyan's lawyer, Jared Genser, has called on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to closely examine the statements made by former U.S. President Donald Trump and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
