"In cooperation with Armenian law enforcement agencies, we take all measures towards disclosing and preventing transboundary smuggling. Since the start of 2009, 99 lawbreakers have been arrested on the borderline. Illegal attempts of crossing border have increased by 12% in comparison with the same period of 2008. Frontier guards confiscated items with a total price of 494,7 Rubles (not including the 21 pieces of cold weapon)," the lieutenant general said.According to Mr. Bondarev, serious attention is paid to preventing transboundary abaction.
