Mild tremors hit parts of Syunik![]() April 4, 2025 - 16:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.1 struck the Republic of Azerbaijan on April 4 at 04:19 local time (00:19 GMT), according to the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs. The epicenter was located 16 kilometers northeast of the Armenian city of Kapan, at a depth of 10 kilometers. The intensity of the underground shock in the epicentral zone reached 4 on the MSK scale. The quake was felt in Kapan, Syunik Province, with a perceptible strength of 2 to 3. The seismic event was recorded at geographic coordinates 39.28⁰ N and 46.56⁰ E. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
