Armenia, France explore defense tech cooperation![]() April 5, 2025 - 12:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, met with Emmanuel Kiva, Head of France’s Directorate General of Armaments under the Ministry of the Armed Forces, as part of his working visit to France. The talks focused on the development prospects of defense industry cooperation between Armenia and France. The parties also discussed potential programs for technological collaboration, opportunities to launch technology exchange initiatives, and issues related to the development of defense technologies in Armenia, among other topics. Yerevan and Paris have signed a contract for the purchase of CAESAR howitzers. A military-technical cooperation agreement was also concluded between Armenia’s Ministry of Defense and French defense company KNDS. Armenian Defense Minister Papikyan attended the opening of the Eurosatory international exhibition, toured the booths, reviewed the exhibits, and held meetings with representatives of several defense industry companies. ![]() ![]() Yerevan will host the 2024 edition of the World Congress On Information Technology (WCIT).
