Azerbaijan holds drills simulating combat in civilian areas, MP says![]() April 9, 2025 - 13:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan is conducting tactical exercises involving air force units, simultaneously escalating ceasefire violations along the frontlines, Armenian Member of Parliament Tigran Abrahamyan stated in a Facebook post. He emphasized that the scenario of these exercises involves the capture of combat positions, followed by a special operation conducted within a residential area. “Apart from the military component, Azerbaijan is significantly investing in political, psychological, and propaganda tools against Armenia. The overarching goal is to increase multifaceted pressure on our country,” Abrahamyan wrote. He also criticized the Armenian authorities, remarking, “During this time, the country’s leadership is reaching new ‘heights’ in cycling, ensuring firm ‘defense’ in propaganda battles against the opposition, and pushing forward with politically motivated prosecutions of their critics.” ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
