Armenia to open embassy in Oman in 2025

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia has decided to open an embassy in the Sultanate of Oman, with its seat in the capital city, Muscat. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has submitted the proposal to the government.

The embassy is expected to be established in 2025, with an allocation of approximately $345,000 (equivalent to 133 million AMD).

“There is significant untapped potential for cooperation between Armenia and Oman in trade, cargo transport, air connectivity, information technology, education, culture, and tourism. Oman, with its balanced foreign policy, serves as a neutral actor in the region and contributes to fostering dialogue,” reads the official statement.

The Omani side has responded positively to Armenia’s initiative, emphasizing the importance of reciprocity in diplomatic relations.

Funding for the embassy will come from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ program budget and the state reserve funds.
