Yerevan, Naples deepen ties with new agreement![]() April 10, 2025 - 18:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan and Naples will soon formalize a friendship and cooperation agreement aimed at deepening mutual ties and fostering urban partnerships, officials announced. According to a statement from the municipality, Mayor Tigran Avinyan met with the Ambassador of Italy to Armenia, Alessandro Ferranti. Discussing the bilateral agenda between Yerevan and various Italian cities, Avinyan highlighted the importance of the memorandum of understanding signed in 2024 between the two capitals, calling it a foundation for new cooperation in city governance. In the near future, a friendship and cooperation agreement is also set to be signed between Yerevan and Naples. Ambassador Ferranti thanked Avinyan for the warm welcome and expressed Italy’s readiness to expand cooperation. He emphasized the tourism potential between the two countries and pledged support for the implementation of new joint initiatives within his diplomatic capacity. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
