Armenian Defense Ministry dismisses Baku’s shooting claims![]() April 11, 2025 - 11:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Ministry of Defense of Armenia has dismissed the information disseminated by Azerbaijan, describing it as false and not corresponding to reality. According to the Armenian Defense Ministry, Azerbaijan’s April 10 statement—alleging that Armenian Armed Forces opened fire at 20:55 toward Azerbaijani positions in the northeastern section of the border—is not true. The Ministry recalled that the Armenian Prime Minister's office had previously proposed establishing a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations and related information. To date, Azerbaijan has not responded to this initiative. "The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reiterates that, in line with the stance of the Prime Minister’s office, it is ready to investigate the facts cited by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense, provided they are shared with Armenia," the statement reads. Since March 16, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense has been issuing multiple false reports daily, claiming Armenian fire. Armenia’s Defense Ministry consistently refutes them.
